Shipment of Supplies Unloaded at Cheboygan Church of Christ for Northern Michigan Flood Victims

This afternoon about 2pm, Eastern time, a shipment of supplies from our Nashville warehouse was unloaded by the members of the Cheboygan Church of Christ, in Cheboygan, Michigan at their chrch building. That area received a lot of snow, and along with the warmer weather melting the snow, they had storms with heavy rainfall, causing flooding. The water level Thursday, April 16, was less than 6” from the top of the Cheboygan Dam, but the water level started dropping some today, and was 7.08” below the top of the dam by 3:28pm today. If the level starts going back up, the local officials may order an evacuation in fear of the dam being breached.

The Cheboygan church along with other Church of Christ congregations in the area are working together to get these supplies to the families whose homes had flooded.

We are standing by, in case we get another request for another shipment to the flood victims, and we're also monitoring the level of damage caused by the spring tornadoes that are taking place as the thunder storms cross the U.S.

Please be praying for the families in the path of these storms, and flood waters.
