Aid Sent to Flood Victims in Kirbyville, TX
Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning of last week, Kirbyville, Texas, which is northeast of Houston, was inundated with heavy rain last week. The Mayor reported some areas of town received 12” of rain. causing major flooding. Dozens of families were rescued by boat, horses and livestock were rescued from an auction barn, even caskets were unearthed at the West Greenlawn Cemetary in Kirbyville.
Brian Spicer, our associate director responsible for Texas, has been in touch with them, and the water has now receded enough where people can get around the community and get back to their homes. The Kirbyville Church of Christ members will unload a shipment of supplies tomorrow morning, April 20th at their church building at 9am, so they can be distributed to the flood victims.
Please pray for those affected by the flooding in Kirbyville.
