Supplies Sent to Nebraska, and Oklahoma

Last weekend, many tornadoes were sighted. Friday evening there had been over 70 reported. Heavy damages were received in a neighborhood on the west side of Omaha of about 6,000, known as Elkhorn. The tornado passed through Waterloo, Elkhorn, and Blair Nebraska, and into Eastern Iowa. This morning a 53’ trailer full of supplies was unloaded at an out building owned by the Trinity Classical Academy at 800 N Front St, in Waterloo, NE. The supplies were unloaded by members from several congregations of the church in Omaha, and the Harvest Field Church of Christ took responsibility for receiving and distributing the supplies to those affected by the tornado. The storms that past through Western Nebraska, crossed into eastern Iowa near the community of Minden, IA.

Today another shipment of supplies will leave our Nashville warehouse, headed to the Vinita Ave Church of Christ in Sulphur, OK, to be unloaded at their building tomorrow morning. The communities of Ada, Marietta, and Sulphur, OK were hit the hardest, and 5 deaths were reported, including 1 infant. 30 in Sulphur were injured.

Other areas in these states were affected. We are in touch with them to see if they have enough damage for a full shipment of supplies, or if they can get the supplies they need from one of the locations where we have shipped supplies. If a congregation gives away a full truckload of supplies, and still has families in need, we can send another shipment.

Please be praying for all of these families affected by these tornadoes, and also for the families that lost loved ones because of the storms.
