| HURRICANE GUSTAV PLAYS HAVOC WITH ITS VICTIMS |

After Hurricane Gustav came ashore, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief immediately got busy making calls, securing drivers, and started preparing to send truck loads of supplies to Mississippi, Louisiana, and other areas, which were damaged by the storm. Damaging winds and flooding struck many cities leaving homeowners without power and clean water and left many with damaged homes or no homes at all.
So far, our trucks have taken loads of supplies to Houma, LA, Baton Rouge, LA, Gonzales, LA, Morgan City, LA, New Orleans, LA, and to Pearlington, MS. During the month of September, we have taken over $651,000.00 worth of supplies to hurting people in these states. Our volunteers came on Monday, Sept. 8th, and on Wednesday, Sept. 10th, to pack boxes. They will come back next week as the needs arise.
We need financial help as soon as possible to meet the needs of these victims. Hurricane Gustav and the other storms, which are forming at sea now, will no doubt leave extensive damage in many areas.
